TL Technology's clarification system is a low cost, low energy fully automatic and highly efficient, with superior removal of turbidity, colour, suspended solids, insoluble non sucrose material from the syrup/liquor.

Phosphoric acid and lime are dosed to produce a cationic precipitate of calcium phosphate that absorbs colourants, turbidity, suspended solids and other anionic non sucrose material. One of our TL flocculants is added to enhance the calcium phosphate's performance, enabling added decolorisation, up to 95% suspended solids and up to 90% turbidity removal.

Syrup/liquor is pumped through a heat exchanger and then a purposely built reaction/aeration vessel. The required dosage of chemicals, including our range of decolourants and flocculants are added prior to passing the tailored designed clarifier where the scum is operated from the clarified syrup/liquor.

An automatic control system regulates the clarification process flow rate, temperature, pH and our speciality chemicals dosage.
